Extend the Life of Your Hose with Synflex Optimum

Expand your machines performance capabilities

With the current state of lumber prices, the forestry industry is likely putting a high priority on the maintenance and functionality of equipment. Luckily, our Eaton Aeroquip Hose Centers can offer a fast and reliable solution when your equipment is in need of hydraulic hoses. The Synflex Optimum hose series can be a great option for replacing some of the damaged hoses on heavy equipment, decreasing downtime and improving productivity.

A Trusted Hose Designed to Last Longer

In comparison to the legacy Synflex hose line, Synflex Optimum hoses offer increased chemical, permeation, temperature and abrasion resistance. In simple terms, this allows the hose to last longer and decrease downtime spent on repairs and maintenance.

A Dependable Hose Composition

The thermoplastic compound increases the permeation resistance from the inside of the hose. This prevents gasses and some hydraulic fluid from absorbing into the inner-tube's membrane, weakening the structure of the hose. The increased chemical resistance of the lining prevents most oils and hydraulic fluid from breaking down the integrity of the inner-tube. As a result, the Synflex Optimum is a more durable choice for your equipment with its lasting longevity.

Built to Withstand the Elements

When switching to the outside of the hose, the increased temperature resistance allows for the hose to be exposed to temperatures from -54 degrees Celsius up to 94 degrees Celsius, making it more flexible in cooler temperatures and stronger in hotter conditions. The outer cover made of polyester and Thermoplastic Polyurethanes (TPU) help fight against ozone and ultraviolet light damages.

Hoses on forestry equipment are often located on the outside of the machinery. Being exposed can increase the chance of damage caused by routing a new hose during maintenance or friction against other objects while the equipment is in use. Eaton increased the abrasion resistance on the Synflex Optimum hose series to create longer-lasting hoses. Additionally, the improved non-stick cover can reduce the damage caused by friction.

The Lightweight Design Helps Equipment's Performance Capabilities

Heavy hoses can impact the efficiency of your machine causing it to use more energy and resources to properly function. When working with large machinery, it’s important that all the parts that make up your equipment don’t add too much weight to the machine. The Synflex Optimum is 2X lighter than the equivalent wire-braided rubber hose, making it a great option for conserving your equipment's power.

A Fitting That Has Changed the Game

The Synflex Optimum line resulted in the creation of the 4T fittings. These fittings have a single piece design combing over 500 fitting configurations, surpassing the amount on the legacy Synflex hose line. The multiple configuration design reduced the need for an adapter on assemblies, which could increase the chance of leaking points.

In an industry that mainly works outdoors, you inevitably expose your equipment to corrosion. The 4T fittings can solve this issue with its greatest feature—the Dura-Kote plating. Eaton’s Dura-Kote plating provides 3X the corrosion protection on carbon steel fittings compared to its competitors. The 4T fitting has also been tested and approved for up to 1,000 hours of corrosion protection.
